Key Changes and Requirements
1. Clarification on CDC Validity
The validity of Continuous Discharge Certificate -cum -Seafarers' Identity Document (CDC) is restricted to 2 years. The previous notice allowed regular CDCs for long-term pre-sea courses starting before July 2011 and completing after 2012. This corrigendum clarifies the effective date for the limited period CDCs.
- New Effective Date: 31.12.11 onwards for pre-sea courses due for completion
II/4 This M.S. Notice comes into effect for the issuance of CDCs to the candidates undergoing the above pre-sea courses which are due for completion on 31.12.11 and onwards.
