1. Sea Service Requirements for Revalidation
The requirement for revalidation is one year in the last 5 years in machinery appropriate to the certification. However, for those serving on lower power vessels, the following rules apply:
- Lower power Indian-registered vessels: Double the usual sea service required will be accepted.
- Lower power foreign-registered vessels: Considered on a case-by-case basis.
Note: These instructions apply to vessels serving on the Indian coast and BIMMS areas.
