Key Changes and Requirements
1. Revised Fees for Services
The following revised fees are applicable for various services rendered by the Directorate General of Shipping (DGS).
- Technical Clearance: Fees vary based on Gross Tonnage (GT) - view details
- Licence Application Form: Rs. 200
- Processing Fees: Vary based on vessel type, operation, and duration - view details
- Late Submission Fees: Rs. 50,000 for SPL/SVCP/TC, Rs. 10,000 for GTL (renewal) - view details
2. Payment Methods and Deadlines
Fees are to be paid by Demand Draft favoring Director General of Shipping, Mumbai, or through Electronic Mode (NEFT/RTGS). No application will be considered without the requisite fees.
The levy of fees is effective from the date of licence/charter/lay-can, irrespective of application submission and approval dates.
Fees for extension of time charter and bareboat chartering are calculated on a pro-rata basis. Late submission fees for GTL renewal are limited to Rs. 50,000 for one month and Rs. 50,000 for each succeeding month.
