Key Changes and Requirements
1. Escort Services
Indian flag ships and ships carrying Indian seafarers are strongly advised to utilize escort services provided by Indian naval ships in the Gulf of Aden.
- Alternative Escort: If unable to conform to Indian warships' schedule, use escort schedules of other countries.
2. Anti-Piracy Measures
Ship owners are advised to undertake active anti-piracy measures when transiting in the vicinity of Somalia and the Gulf of Aden.
Refer to various advisories issued by the Directorate General of Shipping and the enclosed annexure.
