Key Changes and Requirements
1. Examination Changes
From 01 April 2010, Institute of Marine Engineers (India) [IME (I)] will conduct NCV written examinations (Part 'A') for MEO-CL-IV, MEO-CL-III (SEO), and MEO-CL-III (CEO).
- Exam Categories: MEO-CL-IV (NCV) - Part 'A' (written), MEO-CL-III (SEO) NCV - Part 'A' (written), MEO-CL-III (CEO) NCV - Part 'A' (written)
2. Institute Roles
D.G.S. approved institutes will conduct preparatory courses for the above exams. Candidates will approach IME (I) for examinations at various centers.
- Institute Role: Conduct preparatory courses
- IME (I) Role: Act as "Nodal Point" or "Controller of NCV Exams (written)", issue certificates, and submit periodic returns

II/3 MEO-CL-III (SEO) NCV - Part 'A' (written)
II/3 MEO-CL-III (CEO) NCV - Part 'A' (written)
Important Note
Oral examinations (Part "B") will continue to be conducted by MMD examination centers.
