Key Changes and Requirements
1. Utilize Indian Naval Escort Services
Indian flag ships and ships carrying Indian seafarers are strongly advised to use Indian naval escort services in the Gulf of Aden.
- If unable to: Use escort schedules of other countries' warships.
2. Implement Anti-Piracy Measures
Ship owners should undertake active anti-piracy measures when transiting near Somalia and the Gulf of Aden, as per advisories issued by the Directorate General of Shipping.
