1. Safety Management System
Ensure effective implementation of the Safety Management System, including maintenance of machinery and inventory control of spares.
- Action: Regularly review and update SMS to ensure compliance.
2. Engine Room Procedures
Follow correct procedures when changing over from diesel to heavy fuel oil to prevent engine failure.
- Action: Train and familiarize engineers with the changeover procedure.
3. Anchor Management
Pay out the full length of anchor chain and use a second anchor if necessary to prevent dragging and grounding.
- Action: Implement timely action to reduce anchor dragging and use additional anchors when required.
