Key Changes and Requirements
1. Restriction Extension
The restriction on new approvals for GP Rating Course and Certificate Course in Maritime Catering is extended for a further period of 1 year, effective 11th May 2009.
2. New Institute Proposals
No proposals for new training institutes or augmentation of intake capacity from existing institutes will be entertained.
3. Exception for States and Union Territories
Proposals from States and Union Territories without any DGS-approved institute may be considered on merits and industry's requirement.
Note: This circular is valid for a further period of 1 year from 11th May 2009.
