1. Collision Prevention Measures — Bridge Resource Management
Maintain active navigational watch, follow passage plan, and consider navigational hazards. Limit time in chart room while navigating in restricted waters.
- Duty Officer: Monitor navigational activities closely after handing over watch.
- Duty AB: Maintain lookout and report any approaching vessels promptly.
2. Port Control Room Responsibilities
Manned adequately with competent persons to monitor vessel movements. Use radar effectively to track all vessels.
II/2 When vessel is at anchorage, Main engines should be placed at short notice.
