Key Changes and Requirements
1. Clarification on Identity Document
Para 5.2 of MS Notice 14 of 2007 is clarified as:
- Identity: Certificate of Discharge (CDC)
2. Pre-Sea GP Rating Training
Successful completion of 6-month pre-sea GP rating course and passing the exit examination with minimum 60% aggregate marks is required.
For courses starting 1st July 2008 onwards, marks will be indicated on the passing out certificate.
3. Watch Certificate Requirement
Possession of Rating (forming part of (Navigational) / Engineering) watch certificate is optional for this scheme.
