Key Changes and Requirements
1. Assessment of Sea-service on Non-trading Ships
Sea-service performed on non-trading ships will now be considered for certification towards the Foreign Going (FG) stream.
- Acceptance: 2/3rd of the sea-service performed on non-trading vessels of 500 GT or more will be accepted, up to a maximum of six months of assessed sea-service.
- Minimum Service: Minimum service/experience required on trading ships shall under no circumstances be less than six months.
