Infrastructural requirements of various laboratories for one year pre-sea training course leading to B.Sc(NS) (IGNOU) course

Key Changes and Requirements
1. Infrastructure Requirements
All institutes must meet the following infrastructural requirements immediately:
- Navigational Laboratory
- Seamanship Laboratory
- Plumbing Workshop
- Marine Workshop
- Electric Workshop
- Hotwork Workshop
- Hydraulic & Pneumatic Workshop
- Physics Laboratory
- Computer Laboratory
2. Institute Readiness and Inspection
Institutes must indicate their readiness for final inspection by 10th July, 2005. Failure to do so will result in not being allowed to conduct the January, 2006 batch.
The institutes should intimate the Directorate on completion of the above infrastructural facilities to enable a joint inspection by IGNOU representative and Member of academic council[DGS].
Important Note
The 4th batch commencing from January, 2006 can be conducted only by the institutes having the final approval.
