Key Changes and Requirements
1. Sea Service on Dredgers
Sea service performed on dredgers is now accepted at full rate for qualifying sea service and revalidation of Certificate of Competency, provided the class of service and power of the ship comply with specified requirements.
- Qualifying Sea Service: MEO Class IV Part B and NCV certificates
- Revalidation: Certificate of Competency of any grade issued as per STCW 95
- Compliance: Class of service and power of the ship must meet requirements in table 3 of Para 7, section M-III-9 of Meta Manual Vol. I
