Key Changes and Requirements
1. Attendance in Preparatory Course — MS (STCW) Rule 10
Seafarers are no longer required to attend updating and refresher courses for revalidation of their 2nd Mates/NWKO (NCV) and Mates Certificate of Competency (FG or NCV) if they have already attended post-sea preparatory courses for Mates and Masters (FG or NCV) examinations.
