Key Changes and Requirements
1. Revised Fees for Services
The following revised fees are applicable for various services rendered by the Directorate General of Shipping (DGS) with effect from 01.01.2005:
- Technical Clearance:
- 2001 GT to 10,000 GT: Rs 30,000 + Rs.5.00 for each GT above 2000
- Up to 2000 GT: Rs 30,000
- 10,001 GT to 20,000 GT: Rs 70,000 + Rs.3.00 for each GT above 10,000
- 20,001 GT and above: Rs 1,00,000 + Rs.2.00 for each GT above 20,000 - Licence Application Form: Rs 100/-
- Processing Fees:
- GTL for Indian registered foreign going vessels: Rs 10,000/- per ship per year
- GTL for Indian registered coastal vessels: Rs 5,000/- per ship per year
- SPL for foreign flag vessels: Rs 10,000/- per ship per month
- SPL for foreign flag vessels without charter permission: Rs 30,000/- per ship per month
- SPL for chartering in of foreign flag vessels: Rs 20,000/- per ship per month
- SVL for foreign flag vessels: Rs 10,000/- per voyage
- Charter permission for foreign flag vessels: Rs 30,000/- per voyage
- Bare Boat Chartering: Rs 50,000/- up to one year
- Amendment of licences/proposals: Rs 5,000/-
Payment Mode: Demand Draft favouring "Director General of Shipping, Mumbai"
Important Note
Fees are effective from the date of licence/charter/lay-can etc., not the date of application submission. No application will be considered without the requisite fees.
