Key Changes and Requirements
1. Age Relaxation for Women Candidates
The age limit for all pre-sea courses has been enhanced by 2 years for women candidates.
- New Age Limit: Maximum 25 years for pre-sea courses
2. Awareness Drive for Women Seafarers
An awareness drive will be launched to inform young women about Merchant Navy opportunities.
Special treatment will be given to potential women seafarers joining pre-sea courses.

All other parameters for women candidates remain the same as prescribed in M.S. Notice 24 of 2002.
