Key Changes and Requirements
1. Mandatory Training and Certification
Seafarers must complete the following training and obtain certificates:
- Mandatory Training: Company Security Officer (CSO), Designated Person Ashore (DPA), and Crisis Management and Human Behavior (CMHB)
- Certification: International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code and Company-specific training
II/4 and II/5 of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW)
2. Application and Compliance
Seafarers and companies must:
- Apply: Online through the CMI Maritime India portal
- Comply: With the requirements by the effective date

Non-compliance may result in penalties and suspension of service.
