Key Changes and Requirements
1. Appointment of Public Information Officers (PIOs) and Appellate Authorities
The Competent Authority has appointed new PIOs and Appellate Authorities for various branches of the Directorate General of Shipping, Mumbai.

2. RTI Application and Appeal Management
All RTI applications received in the concerned branches will be examined and replied directly by the appointed Public Information Officer (PIO).
- Key Points:
- Register on RTI-MIS portal.
- Reply to RTI applications online within the prescribed time limit.
- Hand over existing ID and PW of RTI request and appeal management system to successor.
- Consolidated reply to be sent to the applicant in case of multiple branches involved.
