Key Changes and Requirements
1. Amendments to SOLAS Chapter VI
The International Maritime Organization (IMO) has issued various amendments to SOLAS Chapter VI, which are now in effect and applicable to all vessels sailing within Indian jurisdiction.

2. IMSBC Code Amendments
Two concurrent amendments to the IMSBC Code will be effective from 1st January, 2024: Amendment 06-21 (mandatory) and Amendment 07-23 (voluntary).
- Effective Date: 1st January, 2024
II/4 and II/5 of SOLAS - Carriage of Grain and Timber Cargo
Important Note
All stakeholders are advised to comply with the provisions of this order to ensure full effect is given to the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea and the mandatory Codes.
