The DGS has constituted a Crisis Management and Reaction Group to handle incidents involving Indian seafarers promptly and effectively.
- Composition: The group comprises of 9 members, including the Director General of Shipping as the Chairman.
- Role: The group will synergize collective expertise, engage with stakeholders, and monitor incident resolution.
- Meetings: The group will conduct regular meetings to monitor and resolve incidents.
