The monthly tonnage statement for Indian flag vessels as on 31 August 2023 has been released.
- Total Tonnage (Coastal & Overseas): 1,71,53,011.1 GT
- Total Vessels (Coastal & Overseas): 1,37,86,790
- Indian Controlled Tonnage: 2,10,01,257.1 GT
2. Vessel Additions and Deletions
During August 2023, the following changes were made to the Indian flag vessel tonnage deployed on coastal/overseas trade:
- Additions (Coastal): 1 vessel
- Deletions (Coastal): 2 vessels
- Additions (Overseas): 4 vessels
- Deletions (Overseas): 4 vessels
