Key Changes and Requirements
1. Land and Infrastructure Relaxations
Minimum land requirement reduced to 1 hectare. Tie-up arrangements permitted for swimming pool, auditorium, and sports ground facilities.
- Land: 1 hectare (reduced from 4 hectares)
- Swimming Pool: Tie-up arrangements permitted
- Auditorium & Sports Ground: Shared infrastructure arrangements within 5 km
2. Student Admission and Fees
Relaxation in student composition and fee concession for cadets.
- Students from NER: Minimum 50% requirement relaxed
- Fee Concession: Up to 10% for cadets in MTIs in NER
II/4 MTIs may enter tie-ups for BST and STSDSD courses exclusively for in-house candidates.

All relaxations are subject to fulfilment of applicable provisions, conditions, safety requirements, and any other guidelines issued by the Directorate General of Shipping.
