Effective Date: End of succeeding calendar month after seafarer sign-off

Key Changes and Requirements

1. Levy of Damages/Penalty/Charges — effective immediately

Damages/penalty/charges for late receipt of PF contributions will now be levied from the end of the succeeding calendar month after the seafarer has signed off, instead of 30 days from the date of sign-off. The rate remains unchanged.

Action Required: Ensure timely remittances to avoid levy of damages/penalty/charges.
