Key Changes and Requirements
1. Joint Certification of Containers
The DGS has permitted joint certification/inspection of containers as per the CSC Convention 1972 by the Indian Register of Shipping (IRS) along with any other recognized organization authorized by the Government of India.
- Duration: 6 months, extendable to 12 months subject to review
- Fees: To be guided by mutual agreements between IRS and the other recognized organization
