Clarification on extension of validity of nautical discipline examinations during COVID-19 pandemic.

All Indian seafarers appearing for Nautical Discipline STCW Competency Examinations

Key Changes and Requirements
1. Period of Validity Extension
The period from 24th March 2020 to 30th June 2022 will not be counted towards the 5-year validity period of passed functions in nautical discipline competency examinations.
- Validity Period: 5 years from the date of passing the examination
- Extended Period: 24th March 2020 to 30th June 2022
2. Validity Period Reset
The 5-year validity period for individual candidates will remain unchanged till 30th June 2022 and will start counting from 1st July 2022.
II/4 Candidates are advised to check their individual validity period and plan their examinations accordingly.
