Key Changes and Requirements

1. Verify Applicable CBA — MS (RPS) Rules 2016

Ensure the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and its components like compensation for death & disability, wage scale, repatriation cost, working hours, etc., are in conformity with the Flag State provisions.

Action: Check and verify the CBA thoroughly while signing the contract.

2. Seek Assistance — For better understanding

If you need assistance in understanding the CBA provisions, seek help from the Shipping Master, Government Shipping Offices, or Director, Seamen's Employment Offices.

II/4 Verify that the labour conditions on ships are in conformity with applicable collective bargaining agreements.
