Key Changes and Requirements
1. Revised Training Requirements
The DGS Order 3 of 2021 revises the training requirements for Indian seafarers. The revised order is effective from 30th November, 2021.
- Revised Training Courses: The order introduces new training courses and revises the existing ones.
- Mandatory Training: All Indian seafarers are required to complete the revised training courses by 31st December, 2022.
2. Application and Compliance
Indian seafarers can apply for the revised training courses through the CMMI portal.
To comply with the order, seafarers must:
- Apply: Apply for the revised training courses before 31st March, 2022.
- Complete Training: Complete the training courses by 31st December, 2022.
- Upload Certificate: Upload the training completion certificate on the CMMI portal.

Important Note
Failure to comply with the revised training requirements may result in suspension or cancellation of the seafarer's certificate of competency.
