Key Changes and Requirements
1. Short-term Cargo Ship Safety Radio Certificate
Recognized Organisations can now issue a short-term Cargo Ship Safety Radio Certificate for newly acquired Indian ships, valid for three months, even if the 'ship station licence' is not yet obtained.
- Validity: 3 months
- Requirement: Application for 'ship station licence' must have been made
2. Ship Owner's Obligation
Ship owners must obtain the 'ship station licence' within the three-month period and submit it to the Recognized Organization.
Important Note
Failure to obtain the 'ship station licence' within the three-month period may result in the short-term certificate becoming invalid.
