Key Changes and Requirements
1. Course Batch Details Submission
All MTIs must submit batch details for STCW courses mentioned in Annexure-I to DGS Order No. 17 of 2021.
- Part A (Theory): MTIs can generate certificates after completing required online classes/Live Video Sessions.
- Part B (Practical): MTIs located in areas without local restrictions or when restrictions cease can generate certificates after completing practical training.
2. Batch Details Filling and Uploading
MTIs must fill and upload batch details (start and end dates) for both Part A and Part B, ensuring total duration aligns with the table in the attached Annexure.
- Theory: 6 hours/day, excluding holidays
- Practical: 6 hours/day, excluding holidays
Annexure: Course Duration (in number of days) for Part A and Part B of the Course for uploading batch details.
Important Note
Non-compliance may result in issues related to seafarer certification later on.
