1. New Medical Practitioner Module on e-Samudra
The Directorate General of Shipping (DGS) has launched a new Medical Practitioner Module on the e-Samudra portal. This module enables new medical practitioners to conveniently access and avail the 'Registration of Medical Practitioner' service via the portal.
- Key Features: Streamlined registration process, online application submission, and status tracking.
- Effective Date: 13th April 2026

2. Registration Process
Prospective medical practitioners are requested to log in to the new e-Samudra Portal to avail the 'Registration of Medical Practitioner' service. The detailed procedure for registration and login is annexed to this notice.

Existing Medical Practitioners do not need to follow this registration process. A separate notification outlining the onboarding process for existing practitioners will be issued within the next two weeks.
