Key Changes and Requirements
1. Relaxation for Sign-off Details
Seafarers who got stuck in various countries due to COVID-19 lockdowns can have their sign-off details updated in their e-profiles without paying fees or penalties.
- Affected: Ship owners, RPS agencies
- Impact: Ease of updating sign-off details for seafarers stuck due to lockdowns
2. Application Process
Apply for exemption by sending an email to crews-dgs@nic.in or deepak.khemu-dgs@gov.in with the following details:
- Details: Name, INDoS number, passport number, sign-off date, arrival date in India, reason for not uploading sign-off details
- Attachments: Copies of CDC and passport showing sign-off and arrival dates
Important Note
This relaxation is a one-time measure and applies only to seafarers who signed off during the lockdown period.
