Extension of Validity of Ships Statutory Surveys and Audits - reg.

Ships and Companies with overdue Audits/Surveys/Inspections on/after 31 October 2021

Key Changes and Requirements
1. Extension of Docking Surveys
Extension of Docking Surveys will now be granted upon submission of a firm Steaming Agreement with the dry dock.
- Condition: Other conditions remain the same as per DGS Order 23 of 2020.
2. Ballast Water Management System
Owners citing non-availability of BWM Management system will not be granted exemption from fitment of BWM System complying with D-2 Standards of BWM Convention.
3. Extension for Annual Surveys & Audits
Extension for Annual Surveys and Intermediate/Renewal SMC Audits/MLC Inspections will be granted only if owners demonstrate due-diligence at least 3-months prior to expiry date/window-range date.
Note: ROs shall cooperate for completion of Annual Surveys/SMC Audits/MLC Inspections if travel restrictions apply.
