All stakeholders shall continuously monitor advisories and promptly report any incident involving Indian seafarers to the DG Communication Centre and Crew Branch.

3. Fake News and Iran Advisory
Stakeholders are advised to avoid circulating fake news/videos and follow the instructions in the recent advisory issued by the Embassy of India, Tehran (dated 24 June 2026).
- Fake News: Stakeholders are strongly advised to verify the authenticity of any news/videos etc. of security incidents onboard ships from Government sources and avoid circulating unverified news, social media posts, and fake videos.
- Iran Advisory: Stakeholders are advised to follow the instructions in the recent advisory issued by the Embassy of India, Tehran (dated 24 June 2026), including registration with the Embassy and monitoring official updates.
