Key Changes and Requirements
1. Reporting of Compliant Fuel Oil Availability
Parties to MARPOL Annex VI and other Member Governments are urged to inform the IMO of the availability of compliant fuel oils in their ports and terminals via the GISIS MARPOL Annex VI module well in advance of 1 January 2020.
- Action: Report availability using the MARPOL Annex VI module on GISIS (GISIS)
- Deadline: Before 1 January 2020
2. Information to be Reported
- Party: Select from drop-down menu
- Port/Terminal: Select from drop-down menu (include terminal name if applicable)
- Fuel Type: Tick boxes for HFO, MDO, MGO
- Sulphur Content: Tick boxes for sulphur content not exceeding 4.50%, 3.50%, 1.00%, 0.50%, or 0.10% m/m
- Additional Information: Attach file with title/description

Important Note
Non-compliance may result in ships being unable to obtain compliant fuel oil, leading to potential operational disruptions.
