1. Inspection Details

MTIs must undergo the first CIP inspection by 31/03/2019. Subsequent inspections will be carried out annually within a window period from two months prior to the anniversary date to two months after it.

• Anniversary Date: Date of initial inspection
• Window Period: Two months prior to two months after the anniversary date

2. Unscheduled Inspections

Unscheduled inspections may be carried out based on specific complaints. If major deficiencies are noted, the inspection team may suspend approvals granted to the MTI with immediate effect.

• Frequency: As and when required
• Carried Out By: Directorate and/or MMDs
• Suspension of Approvals: Possible if major deficiencies are noted

3. Major Deficiencies

Major deficiencies are major deviations from standard norms that may affect Institute performance/quality seriously and adversely. They include fraudulent issuance of certificates, inadequate faculty, non-availability of video records, serious lapses in infrastructure, irregularities in fees, and non-adherence to course guidelines.
