Key Changes and Requirements
1. E-migration System Launch and Usage
The e-migration system has been launched and is now fully operational. All concerned are directed to henceforth use the e-migration system in accordance with M.S. Notice No. 7 of 2017.
- Usage: For foreign-going vessels and re-join Indian flag vessels.
- Exceptions: The e-migration system should be followed only in exceptional circumstances of force majeure, verification of papers issued by Recruitment and Placement Service approved by the Director General of Shipping.
II/4 FRROs should update their immigration check points with the e-migration system.
Important Note
As of 30th June 2018, 1,22,096 seafarers have used the e-migration system.
