Key Changes and Requirements
1. Deadlines for Batch Details Uploading
Upload batch details in e-samudra module within the following timeframes:
- Pre-sea courses: 15 days from course commencement
- Post-sea, modular, and basic STCW courses: same day, by 1000 hrs
- Competency courses: 7 days from course commencement
2. Certificate Details Uploading
Upload certificate details of candidates within three days after course completion in e-governance module.
3. Bio-metric Attendance
Install bio-metric attendance device latest by 15th February, 2018. Mandatory for faculty and students.
Compliance report to be sent to Directorate by 15th February, 2018.
4. Course Completion in Same Batch
Candidates must complete their course during the same batch.
5. Minimum Batch Strength
No batch to be conducted if batch strength is less than 25% of approved intake capacity.
6. Swimming Pool Requirements
Pre-sea institutes must have a swimming pool. Other institutes must have tie-up arrangements with approved institutes or swimming pools meeting specified dimensions and standards.
Effective from 15th March, 2018.
7. MEO Class I & II Preparatory Courses
No admission of candidates in between a batch. Duration and frequency specified.
8. Fees Payment through Bharat Kosh
Pay processing fees, annual fees, and new institute fees through Bharat Kosh. Demand drafts/cheques not accepted.
