Trouble description: Alfa laval purifier s836 rpm drops when feed is introduced.

When purifier is started it picks up speed normally. Without feed it is working fine and desludging properly. But as soon as we introduced oil feed the rpm drops and alarm sounds (Bowl speed low).

Current draw increases from 5 to 15 Amps when oil is introduced.

This Purifier has not been in use since 2023, all previous attempts failed to get it to run.

This is the only Alfa Laval purifier we have onboard other two are Mitsubishi purifiers.

Measures taken: We have

1. renewed the belt,
2. vertical shaft overhauled,
3. friction pads renewed ,
4. water flow checked.

Present Status: Still facing issues. When oil is introduced bowl speed goes low and stops with alarm. What else could be the issue?
