Bachelor star Sam Wood denied bail as police allege he choked woman until she ‘thought she would die’

The former Bachelor star Sam Wood has been denied bail after being accused of choking a woman until she thought she would die.

The alleged incident occurred in Queensland, Australia, and the court heard that police had attended Wood's home over a similar allegation three years ago.

The woman told police she was afraid to complain at the time due to fear of retribution.
