Voting opens in high-stakes Holborn and St Pancras byelection

Voting has opened in the Holborn and St Pancras byelection, seen as a key gauge of Labour leader Andy Burnham's ability to energise voters.

The contest is also a test of whether the Greens can still peel off support from Labour's left, with Zack Polanski leading the Green campaign.

The byelection is taking place following the resignation of former Labour MP Keir Starmer, who is now the party's leader.
