Before CJP protest, Delhi bandh: Mobile net, metro, roads blocked in heart of city

Delhi witnessed a bandh (shutdown) before the planned protest by the Citizenship Amendment Protest (CJP), with mobile internet services, metro trains, and roads in the city center being blocked.

The protest is against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC).

While the bandh was largely peaceful, some incidents of violence were reported.

The protest is expected to continue, potentially disrupting normal life in the city.
