Federal minister Anne Aly has condemned racist and misogynistic comments in parliament, revealing she has received 19 death threats in the past week alone.

Aly, who is of Lebanese descent, was targeted by an opposition MP who called for her to be 'stoned in the square'.

She called on parliament to condemn the language and take action against those responsible.
