Fugro to hunt for unexploded munitions along North Sea cable routes

Dutch survey specialist Fugro has been contracted by German transmission system operator 50Hertz to survey and clear unexploded ordnance along the routes of two offshore wind grid connections in the North Sea. The LanWin3 and LanWin6 high-voltage direct current links are each designed to transmit up to 2GW of offshore wind power.
