Boluda strikes deal to acquire Samskip

Spanish shipping group Boluda has agreed to acquire Netherlands-headquartered multimodal operator Samskip, bringing together two major European shortsea businesses in a deal spanning 32 vessels and 18 routes. Boluda Shipping said the acquisition would combine its container shipping network with Samskip’s northern European operations, creating a business connecting 28 countries from northern Europe.
