Key Changes and Requirements
1. Weighbridge/Weighing Appliances
Until 31.08.16, VGM obtained from any weighbridge/weighing appliance with valid certification will be accepted. Stakeholders should comply with specified requirements at the earliest.
2. Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)
Till 30.09.16, physical format (hard copy) of VGM information will be accepted. Stakeholders should progress to electronic mode at the earliest.
3. Dedicated Secure Website
Applicants for 'dedicated secure website' provider should obtain information security management systems certification by 30.09.16. Progress to electronic mode should be a priority.
4. Method 2 Approval
Revised procedures for Method 2 approval are outlined. No inspections are required initially, and no fee is payable at the time of application.
This MS Notice is effective immediately and should be read concurrently with MS Notice No. 4 of 2016.
