Key Changes and Requirements
1. Welfare Fund Contribution — MS Notice No. 02 of 2014
RPS service providers must pay an annual welfare fund contribution for seafarers below the rank of an officer, engaged on Indian or foreign flag ships.
- Indian Flag (Foreign Going): ₹4,800 per seafarer per annum
- Indian Flag (Home Trade): ₹2,400 per seafarer per annum
- Foreign Flag: ₹6,000 per seafarer per annum
Payment Details Quarterly basis to Seafarers’ Welfare Fund Society, Mumbai
