Key Changes and Requirements
1. Addition to DG Shipping Order No. 19 of 2013
The following text has been added to the DG Shipping Order No. 19 of 2013:
- National Institute of Oceanography (NIO), Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) or any other competent Government of India organization can now carry out wave height data analysis on the coast of India.
Revised Para 4 reads as follows:
"Partially smooth water will be an area having a significant wave height of 2 meters. Coastal states seeking extension of Inland water beyond the baseline may carry out relevant analysis through the National Institute of Oceanography (NIO), Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) or any other competent Government of India organization."
Important Note
All concerned are requested to take necessary action as per the revised para 4.
