Key Changes and Requirements
1. CDC Application & Issuance Changes
The DGS has simplified and decentralized the process for Continuous Discharge Certificates (CDCs).
- Decentralization: CDC processing and issuance has been moved from GSO Mumbai to Chennai and Kolkata.
- Online Applications: Applications for individual and institutional CDCs can now be submitted online to any of the three GSOs.
- Processing Time: CDC applications should be cleared within one month as per the Citizen Charter.
