Key Changes and Requirements
1. Transition Period
The new MS STCW Rules, 2014 will come into effect from 1st January, 2015. Until then, the existing MS STCW Rules 1998 will continue to apply.
2. Examination Fees
The schedule of examination fees as per the new rules will apply from 1st January, 2015.
Note: For all services performed upto and including 31st December, 2014, the provisions of the extant MS STCW Rules 1998 shall apply.
