Key Changes and Requirements
1. Net Tonnage Factor Calculation
The Net Tonnage Factor for Financial Year 2009-10 (AY 2010-11) is notified as 9706.
- Calculation: Aggregate Net Tonnage of qualifying ships / Total number of such ships
- Notification: Within 60 days from the beginning of each financial year by DGS
2. Minimum Training Requirement
Use the Net Tonnage Factor (9706) and Net Tonnage of slot/space charters calculated under the CBDT notification dated 29.3.2005 to work out the minimum training requirement for such arrangements for the FY 2009-10.
